A total of 18 lecturers of Education Management Program (Manper), Faculty of Economics and Business Education (FPEB), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) follow Quality Management System (QMS) technical training 26-30 October 2015 at Hotel Grand Serela Setiabudi Hegarmanah , Bandung. QMS training is intended to prepare lecturers to be able to convey the knowledge of the organization’s Quality Management System to be taught to the students.
Students plan to take a concentration of majors selected in two fields namely the Archives and QMS. The presenters of this training are Heri Jumaedi, a qualified consultant in quality management who already has a lot of good work experience.
Training begins at 08.00 am, opening and greeting by Dr. Budi Santoso, M.Si. as the chairman of Prodi Manper, then Dr. H. Edi Suryadi, M.Sc. as Vice Rector II who at the same time inaugurated the opening of the event.
The enthusiasm of the training participants was extraordinary, as evidenced by the many questions asked to the resource person during the soldering. As stated by Heri Jumaedi, “The management system of an organization needs to be studied further to find out whether the organization or company meets the specified standards and should or not. In an organization also needs a quality objective by looking at the vision and mission of the organization. These quality objectives will measure the process of improvement that occurs within the organization by implementing the proper procedures, “he said.
The materials presented in the training are among others the meaning of the quality management system, the process or stages of organizational procedures, how to judge (auditor), and others. Participants are also guided to practice or simulate directly create a vision, mission, procedures, and standards are good and right within an organization. At the time of the practice the participants were formed into three discussion groups. Discussion went well, participants can give ideas to be input for one discussion group. In the simulation each group of participants discussed to make a procedure that will be applied to the company that they make.
One of the participants interviewed by sister training Dian Siti M. delivered “This training is very much useful for me and give a lot of new things to stock in the future. I hope, by following this training all participants are able to understand and can convey to the students later that the purpose of this training can be achieved well and as expected, “he said.
After all participants for several days of training and simulation of quality management system (QMS), the training ended on Friday (30/10/2015) closed by Prodi Manper chair at 15.00 pm, the last photo session with all participants and speakers. [Merrysha Apriyani_2013]
